How can I rent a bike from you?
Visit our website (https://www.bikeandhike.it/en/rental/), contact us by phone at +393404890532 or come directly to our rental location in Algund, Stenizerstr.14 to rent a bike.

Do I have to reserve a bike in advance?
You can reserve your bike in advance online or by phone to make sure that the model you want is available.

When do I have to pay?
If you make a reservation in the store, the amount must be paid directly.
For online reservations, the amount must be paid when picking up the bikes.
If the bikes are delivered, the amount must be paid in cash when the bikes are handed over. -
Can I also rent a bike on Sundays?
Yes, our rental shop is also open on Sundays in July and August
In the other months you can pick up the bike on Saturday at 6.00 pm and return it on Sunday at 7.00 pm. Other arrangements can also be made.

What types of bikes are available?
We offer a wide range of bikes, including e-bikes in the trekking bike, SUV bike, mountain bike hardtail or fully, racing bike and children's bike variants, as well as organic bikes in the racing bike, gravel, mountain bike hardtail and full-suspension variants and children's bikes

Is it possible to transport children or animals?
Yes, we have child seats, child trailers and dog trailers, dog baskets for hire.

Can helmets be hired from you?
Yes, we have helmets in all sizes.

How long can I hire a bike for?
Full day: It is possible to rent the bike for the whole day, which starts at 8:30 and ends at 18:00.
Half day: There is also a half day, which starts at 11:30 (pick-up until 12:00) and ends at 18:00.
Several days: There is also the option of a longer rental period, where the bike is picked up at 8.30 am on the first rental day and returned at 6.00 pm on the last rental day.

Do I have to pay a deposit?
No, a deposit is not required.

What do I need to bring with me when I pick up the bike?
Please bring a valid identity card with you.

Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept common payment methods, including cash, credit cards and mobile payments.

How does the return of the bike work?
Bring the bike back to the issuing location and check it for any damage together with our staff.

What happens if the bike is damaged during the rental period?
The tenant is responsible for any damage.

What happens if the bike/item is stolen or damaged?
If the bike/item is not covered by our insurance, the current value must be paid in full immediately upon discovery of the damage. Furthermore, in the event of theft, a report must be made to the relevant authorities.

Are the bikes insured?
No, it is your responsibility to take out insurance

Is there a possibility of bike insurance?
Yes, you can insure the bike against theft and damage for €15 per bike/day. There is a deductible of 30% of the current value of the bike/item rented.

Can I return the bike early?
Yes, early return is possible, but there is no refund.

Can I extend the rental period spontaneously?
An extension depends on the availability of the bike. Please contact us in good time during the remaining rental period.

Do you offer a delivery service for bikes?
Yes, the bikes can also be delivered to your accommodation. The delivery time will be arranged with you personally and you must be present at the handover. The cost of delivery and collection in Meranerland is €15 per bike. Outside this zone, we will be happy to make you an offer.
