Ansitz Mair im Korn

Our hereditary farm ... Ansitz Mair im Korn

The history of this Burggräfler farm below the old church of Algund near Meran is ancient. On Dec. 1, 1233, this estate with its wine and grain estates was first mentioned in a document. The name of the farm dates back to the distant year 1351 "Corn de Algunda" in the possession of "Cunradus villicus im Corn". In 1749, the then owner Franz Alexander von Egen donated a charming baroque farm chapel to the farm, which was dedicated to St. John of Nepomuk. By virtue of a papal authorization, mass may also be said in public.
In 1984, the estate, now owned by the Anton Martin family, was elevated to a hereditary farm. Anton Martin and his wife bequeathed the estate to their daughter Barbara, married name Clementi, who now continues to run the farm with her husband Thomas and their three children Sophie, Aaron and Kilian with great pleasure.
